Police have launched a manhunt after the casualties were stabbed outside a pub in the West London town[/caption]

No arrests have been made.

Local residents say the attacker struck outside The Royal Horseguardsman, close to Brentford’s football ground.

It’s claimed the casualty died inside a kebab shop across the road from the pub.

There’s nothing yet to suggest the attack is terror-related, police have said.

A Met Police spokesman said: “An investigation has been launched after two people were stabbed at around 8pm on Frida in Albany Parade, Brentford.

“One man, believed to be aged around 20 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish his identity. As such, his family have not yet been informed.

HORROR OUTSIDE PUB

“A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

“A woman, aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital suffering stab injuries.

“Her condition is believed to be critical.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.

“At this stage, there is nothing to suggest that the incident is linked to terrorism.

“There has been no arrest.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said:  “We were called at 7.49pm today to reports of an incident on Albany Road, Brentford.

MANHUNT BEGINS

“We sent a number of resources, including four ambulance crews, a medic in a car, a clinical team leader, an incident response officer, a hazardous area response team, and an advanced paramedic.

“We also dispatched by road London’s Air Ambulance.

“Sadly, one person died at the scene.

“We treated another person at the scene and took them to a hospital as a priority.”

Those living in the area have warned their neighbours to “please be careful”.

One witness said there are at least 10 police cars and vans parked up at the pub and close to a branch of McDonald’s.

Images and videos posted on social media show dozens of police officers working within a closed-off stretch of road.

Ambulances are parked at the cordon.

The door of the Horseguardsman itself has also been taped off by officers, while the Black Dog Beer House has also been asked to close.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 6423/12nov.
