JAPANESE KNOTWEED legal claims against property sellers have risen sharply over the past year, according to experts. The sudden increase in cases is in part due to buyers and sellers rushing their transactions to save on stamp duty land tax. One buyer claimed he was “shocked and worried” to find the invasive weed on his property after buying a new home.
