Russia delivered hammer blow as Ukraine takes out oil tankers in targeted hit to framework

[ad_1]

Pro-Russia forces in Makiivka were on the ground after the incident was reported at 3.06 am Kyiv time trying to extinguish the flames until the early hours of the morning. The oil tankers were located on railway tracks, resulting in damage to the transport line for the Russian-backed militants in the area. A Ukrainian citizen from the city of Kherson has been posting updates about the ongoing war in Ukraine and posted the footage on social media.

Under the username Special Kherson Cat, they wrote: “Tonight there were strikes on the Russian oil depot in Makiivka near Donetsk Two railway tanks with fuel and three stationary tanks burned down.”

Pro-Kremlin militants reported the attack on Russian infrastructure and have since been trying to put out the blaze.

It was reported that the sabotage took place on a farm and up to five tanks were set alight.

Pro-Russian militants reported that the fire was started by an explosive object.

Social media users speculated on the impact of the attack on Russia as Ukraine continues to push forward with its counteroffensive towards the east.

@Anthony46461 wrote: “It must begin to hurt. The railways must be replaced totally as oil burned on them. The fuel tanks themselves are good to be scrapped. And of course, there’s all the whole infrastructure alongside it that was destroyed and that we don’t see…”

@MatthewWrite said: “Well done Ukraine! So smart – hitting vital resources and supply lines!”

@Crispyliver added: “Good morning #Fellas! Sit down by the fire and have yourself a nice steaming-hot cup of #Russian tears.”

Ukrainian forces have been pushing back on the Russian onslaught.

The Ukrainian defence forces have been targeting Russian infrastructure located in their country in order to slow down Russian forces while they continue to move eastwards in a bid to liberate occupied areas.

In recent weeks Ukrainian forces have retaken the city of Kherson, with Russian troops forced to cross the Dnipro River and build trenches in a desperate effort to maintain a semblance of control in the area.

Ukrainian government ministers have been vowing to retake all of their land which has been occupied by Russian forces.

Minister Volodymyr Havrylov has claimed that troops will be in Crimea by the end of the year, and Russian troops will retreat.

Mr Havrylov said: “There is a phenomenon called Black Swan. So, an unexpected event coming to calculations nobody expected to come.

“So, I think Russia can face a Black Swan inside Russia and it can contribute to our success in Crimea.

“There is also a military option with some kind of combination of military resources and something else, we can move into Crimea by the end of December. It is possible.”
